The evolving coronavirus outbreak has resulted in the adoption of a number of unprecedented public health measures over the past several weeks. In accordance with these measures, Psychiatric Associates will only offer care via “virtual visits” beginning Thursday, March 26. In-office visits will no longer be available until the COVID-19 crisis abates.
Telehealth visits are secure, private video chats with your regular Psychiatric Associates provider. If you have an in-person appointment already scheduled, please call us at 319-356-6352 to convert your session to a virtual visit. (Due to a high volume of calls, you may get a busy signal or be placed on hold. We apologize for any delays and will reach out to you as soon as possible.)
Throughout this outbreak, we'll continue to accept phone calls if you have any questions or concerns.
How do I schedule a virtual visit?
To schedule a virtual visit, please call our office at 319-356-6352. (At this time, we’re not able to schedule virtual visits through our website.) When you call, one of our team members will walk you through a quick, easy process where they will:
- Ask you for your email address
- Explain how to download the VSee app
- Schedule a date and time that’s convenient for you
You can also review these instructions for virtual visits. They'll walk you through the process of getting set up for your first visit.
Can I use my smartphone?
Yes. Virtual visits work with any camera-enabled smartphone, tablet or computer. The VSee app is HIPAA-compliant and easy to use.
Will insurance cover virtual visits?
Virtual visits, also known as telehealth or telemedicine, are often covered by insurance. However, we recommend that you check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage before scheduling an appointment.
What if I have questions?
